To lessen the impact on Mother Earth for our human needs of shelter. For thousands of years, earth brick and block have been used succesfully. We just need to update the product for use in our Western Society. Utilizing the massive amounts of clay found everywhere, use these sites for borrow points (since the clay has little use for anything else) for fabrication of useable engineered, buildable blocks. We have a design for interlocking "LEGO" type construction worthy of safe seismic-proof design, for a maximum of (2) story construction. The unit cost would be far below anything currently available, and would eliminate the need for various types of composite wall materials for insulation and finish, and add a level of sound isolation and living comfort not found in today's modern construction techniques.
