Full Description (Required)
Around 1400 years ago, Hussain, the grandson of the Apostle of Islam stood up against the tyranny and oppression of that time. On the banks of Euphrates, in the region of Karbala in Iraq, 72 people, lead by Hussain, faced at least 30,000 soldiers of the excessively tyrannical Yazid, the self-proclaimed king of Arabia. The epic battle lasted one day. And that one day is called 'Ashoora and is commemorated every year by Muslims throughout the world. Hussain's stand against oppression and the sacrifice of his life has inspired great leaders and thinkers throughout the world, including Gandhi, Charles Dickens, etc, but many people of the world are unaware of this inspirational and spiritually uplifting event.
This project aims to create an extremely readable novelization of the event of Karbala.
