Full Description (Required)
ETR is a environmentally conscious living community where homeless and/or in transition young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 come together with abused, neglected and/or homeless animals in need of love and healing The young adults that become residents of the Ranch learn to nurture the animals and prepare them for adoption while also learning about caring for the Earth's environment. They learn many things on the Ranch, but specifically they learn about organic gardening, alternative energy sources, minimizing their carbon footprint, how to care for animals, and how to work in community for the benefit of all. There are many programs at Earth Tribe Ranch that will help these young adults to heal, grow and learn. The young adult residents will be involved in all aspects of the facility: animal welfare, support and adoption, organic garden & greenhouse (includes Farmer's Market), kitchen & food prep, health & wellness, community newsletter participation, and eventual participation in "reduce, reuse, recycle" store.
Funding Purpose
ETR is in need of funding of any value. We have established our IRS tax exempt status and recognition as a non-profit 501(c)(3) entity. We currently have a skilled consultant in the process of preparing our non-profit business plan with financials and have everything else in place to prepare for our fundraising efforts. We have an incredible Governing Board full of highly compassionate and qualified individuals. Because of ETR's need for water and better soil, we are relocating to Colorado in April of this year. Our first phase is land acquisition and includes working with a sustainable living architect.
Specific Assistance (other)
We are in need of a piece of property in Colorado. Boulder, Jefferson or Gilpin County. Possibly Broomfield county as well.
